eSIM Guide

Learn how eSIMs work, how to install one, and how to get the most out of your eSIMMigo plan.

What is an eSIM?

An eSIM is a digital SIM card built into many modern smartphones, tablets, and laptops. Unlike a traditional SIM, it does not require a physical card. You simply download a profile and connect to a mobile network.

  • No physical SIM card to buy, carry, or swap.
  • Switch between plans and networks instantly.
  • Ideal for travel, business, and multi-device use.

How eSIM Works

eSIMMigo sends you an eSIM profile by email after checkout. You install the profile on your device, and it connects to a partner network in your destination.

  1. 1Purchase a plan for your destination on esimmigo.com.
  2. 2Check your email for the eSIM QR code and installation instructions.
  3. 3Scan the QR code or enter the details manually, then enable data roaming when you arrive.

eSIM Setup Guide

We recommend setting up your eSIM before you travel so you are ready to connect on arrival.

Before you travel
  • Make sure your device is eSIM-compatible and unlocked.
  • Purchase your plan and save the QR code to your photos or email.
  • Install the eSIM while connected to Wi-Fi, but do not enable roaming until you land.

eSIM Installation Guide

Most devices support two easy ways to install an eSIM:

Scan QR code

Open your camera or Settings → Mobile Network → Add eSIM, then scan the QR code from your email.

Enter details manually

Use the activation code and confirmation code shown in your order details if scanning is not available.

Troubleshooting

If your eSIM is not working as expected, try these quick fixes first.

No signal on arrival

Turn data roaming on, restart your device, and make sure the eSIM is selected as the active data line.

No internet access

Check that mobile data is enabled for the eSIM and that the correct APN is set if required by your plan.
